Able Heart

Able Heart is an up and coming artist who appeared on the show Songland on NBC. Songland helps promote singer/songwriters and helps them develop a song for artists. Able ended up writing a song for the Jonas Brothers called Greenlight.

This project was very time consuming because I created handmade stencils from an image I altered in Photoshop. Once I cut out the stencil I played around with painting my design and finding the right texture for the finished image. Before this project I had used this technique only once and fell in love with the process. There are several steps when using this process but once the piece is finished you end up with a unique stenciled image which could only be explained and created by yourself. When I listen to Able’s music I feel his aesthetic is somewhat edgy so I created this project with rough and glitchy textures.
